Welcome Home Troops, working with Tina Stull Racing, has supported efforts in eight events this year. The events include Baseball, Concerts and NHRA Drag Racing, Deployment Celebrations, and Welcome Home events . In these efforts we have provided tickets to over 12,000 Troops, Family Members and Veterans. Our goal for the year is 17,000 Troops and Family Members; this can be done with your financial support. We have supported events in Houston, Dallas, Kansas, Louisiana, California; we are currently working towards events in Oklahoma, Nevada, and Kentucky.
We are also looking for volunteers, please register as a volunteer and tell us who you are and where you are from.
Alaska; WHT provided minor support for bedding and hygiene items to the Single Solder program of Eagle River Church of God, with Shirlynn Corbett, which provided sheets, blankets, Welcome Home packages. We are currently raising awareness of the needs of our single soldiers, and supporting this type of effort for Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Houston; WHT provided 200 Compassion Packs to returning IEF and OEF Service Members during a Veterans Day Parade that hosted over 50,000 Troops, Veterans, Family Members, and Community Leaders presented by Houston Freedom Fest.
Houston; NHRA Drag Racer Tina Stull at Houston Raceway Park, Baytown; May 17, 2008 distributed 3,000 tickets to Troops, Family Members and Veterans.
Lake Elsinore, CA; Baseball at the Lake Elsinore Storm Stadium, May 24, 2008. We provided 1,600 Tickets to Troops and 350 meal deals. We distributed tickets at the Loma Linda Veterans Center, Camp Pendelton, and March Air Force Base. Our partners, Penhall, the City of Lake Elsinore, the Lake Elsinore Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Amen, Dr. Henslin and others, provided resources for Job opportunities, PTSD counseling, Banking resources, and encouragement, as our Troops enjoyed a day of family fun.
Dallas, TX.; Concert, at the Pizza Hut Park for Celebrate Freedom, with Interstate Batteries, Luis Palau, and Tina Stull Racing. Although weather conditions marked a lower than anticipated turn out, we are making plans for next year. So mark your calendars for June 2009.
Austin, TX.; Welcome Home Celebration for returning Service Members; Tina and her team provided encouragement along with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, to our brave young men and women who serve so selflessly.
Dallas, TX; Off to the Races, at Adventure Landing, WHT and Tina Stull hosted 800 Service Members and their families, to a deployment celebration. Service Members and Families enjoyed; mini golf, bumper boats, laser tag, video games, and go-kart racing at Adventure Landing. Interstate Batteries provided the racing theme with the Kyle Busch, NASCAR. Tina Stull with her personal enthusiasm for the troops along with her racing team provided the added extras by taking pictures and signing calendars with her race car. The group enjoyed family fun, and a bar-b-q.
Topeka, KS; NHRA Drag Racer Tina Stull at Heartland Park; 5,000 tickets were distributed with the help of the Kansas National Guard, this was such and exciting event. Tina made appearances at the Harley Davidson Dealership on Topeka Blvd, along with her team member Dan Foley, to distribute tickets to the event. A picture is worth a 1000 words so take a look. The Tina Stull Race Pit area was full with Service Members, Family, and Veterans. Volunteers provided meals and encouragement to those who entered the pit area.
Shreveport, LA.; NHRA Drag Racer Tina Stull at Red River Raceway in Gilliam; tickets are currently being distribution. You just can’t keep Tina down, she is off to the races in a Hurricane, the original date for this event was scheduled the second week in September. This racing event has been rescheduled for October 3-4, go to www.tinastullracing.com for free tickets to our Military Service Members and their families.
Noble, Ok; NHRA Drag Racer Tina Stull at Thunder Valley Raceway Park; We are currently distributing tickets through the National Guard, the Air Force and other Military Agencies in the area. We want to welcome the Thunderbirds to Thunder in the Heartland October 17-19, for free tickets to Military Service Members and their families go to www.tinastullracing.com .
Las Vegas, Nv; NHRA Drag Racer Tina Stull at Las Vegas Motor Speedway; We are currently working with the track to provide “Tickets to Troops”, so Save the Date November 6-9th, 2008
As you can see our theme is “Family Fun”, our desire is to restore honor to our hero’s, and to support them and their families through transition. Your support is greatly needed as we continue forward with the events planned.
